Summary
As an Assistant Teacher at St. John Noah's Ark Daycare and Preschool, you will play a vital role in supporting the lead teacher in delivering a nurturing and educational experience for our young learners. This position is essential in helping children grow spiritually, socially, and academically within a Christian framework.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities that promote holistic child development.
- Provide attentive care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Support the development of age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with our Christian values.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional growth.
- Assist with behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Qualifications
- Experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Knowledge of Montessori principles or similar educational approaches is a plus.
- Ability to provide nurturing care for toddlers and young children.
- Understanding of behavior management techniques to support children's development.
- Familiarity with curriculum development practices is beneficial but not required.
- A passion for working with young children in a Christian environment.
