Responsible for wrapping or unwrapping the product into a final, customer-ready container or a work-in-process container for further processing as required. Ensure that finished packaged goods are inserted into proper cartons/containers. Ensure tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety, food safety and quality, cost, and GMP standards in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
The associate’s primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:
Ø Maintain a high level of cleanliness in work area.
Ø Packaging of quality baked products into a variety of packaging formats.
Ø Require to visually inspect the flow of product through various stages of the packaging process.
Ø Alternate duties such as sweeping, light equipment cleaning will be assigned as required.
Ø Require rotating through the various packaging workstations on the packaging line.
Ø Require having good hand – eye coordination.
Ø Able to lift 5-10 lb. boxes and stacking them on a pallet.
Ø Responsible for ensuring that the work they perform meets the Company’s finished product “Quality” expectations.
Ø Complete changeovers including in depth equipment cleans.
Ø Require working “Independently” as well as in a “Team” environment.
Ø Perform other assigned duties.
Ø Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
Ø Must follow ood anufacturing ractices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
Ø Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
Ø Set up boxes and/or bags or containers in preparation for the placement of unwrapped finished products or unwrapped bulk material for further processing
Ø Apply special notes for container integrity and the specified placement code data or other labels or markings
Ø Perform clean-up duties at the close of the shift
Qualifications
Ø Must be able to follow written and verbal communication.
Ø Great attention to detail with accuracy.
Ø Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ø High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ø Basic math calculation skills.
Ø Understanding of basic principles of the SQF program and other food safety policies/procedures.
Ø Possess manual dexterity to manipulate boxes, bags, and cases
Working conditions
Ø Work indoors.
Ø May be exposed to hot temperatures
Ø May work close to others, usually within a few feet.
Ø Compliant with ventilation, cleanliness, space, lighting, and temperature.
Ø May be exposed to fluorescent lights.
Ø May be exposed to manufacturing equipment hazards, especially forklifts.
Ø May be exposed to a variety of dust particles.
Pay: From $15.50 per hour
Work Location: In person
