American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 3+ years of experience for a combined CT and X-ray role requiring willingness to float between modalities.
-
Hospital-based radiology setting with responsibilities split approximately 50/50 between Canon CT and X-ray imaging
-
Must be willing to float to perform X-ray procedures as needed

Performs CT, radiographic, and fluoroscopy-assisted procedures
-
Procedures include head, spine, chest, abdominal, and pelvic CT imaging, as well as diagnostic radiography and interventional radiography assistance

Canon CT equipment used

5x8 hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CT Technologist

Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program
-
ARRT registration with CT certification required
-
Current BLS certification required
-
OBMI certification required
-
License required if applicable

Proficiency with venipuncture and contrast media administration

Ability to perform CT protocols including head, spine, chest, abdomen, and pelvis imaging

Perform diagnostic radiography and CT procedures, producing images for interpretation by licensed practitioners
-
Prepare patients for procedures, provide instructions, and minimize patient anxiety throughout the process
-
Select and operate radiography and CT equipment, determine exposure factors, and evaluate images for technical quality

Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional radiography procedures
-
Administer contrast media and medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner in accordance with state statutes and institutional policy

Initiate basic life support when necessary

Completed CT skills check by a CT advanced user is required, covering head, spine, chest, abdominal, and pelvic anatomy and safe contrast usage

CRASE training is preferred; if the assignment extends beyond 6 months, CRASE training will be required

Participate in required education for DNV programs as applicable to the position
