Join our growing team! The Benefits Verification Specialist plays an important role on our team with duties including but not limited to verifying patient insurance details and navigating insurance websites efficiently to gather patient insurance eligibility.
As an integral member of our team, the Benefits Verification Specialist is a courteous, friendly, team-oriented problem solver, and is dedicated to delivering excellent customer service.
Essential Function
- Verifies patient insurance prior to office appointment / initial evaluation
- Obtains additional patient information as needed, including updated demographic and insurance information
- Navigates insurance websites efficiently to gather pertinent patient insurance eligibility and benefits information
- Provides excellent customer service
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance, while complying with all company policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Medent Experience / WNYHEALTHENET, AVAILITY, UHC, CIGNA websites experience
- Previous healthcare administrative support preferred
- Strong track record in benefits verification preferred
- Exemplary customer service skills including telephone protocol and professional etiquette
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills, proficient with Windows based software
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly, act professionally and work efficiently
- Ability to represent our company in a professional manner
