About the Role
The Director of Operations is the operational backbone of our brokerage and a true partner to our leadership team. You turn vision into systems, lead the support staff, own the financial health of the business, and make sure the whole operation runs accurately and on time without anyone having to chase it.
This is a leadership seat, not a task role. Our leaders set the direction, and you build and run the systems that make it happen. When you own something, it is handled, and leadership never has to wonder whether it is right.
What You Will Own
Operational Leadership and Systems
- Build, document, and run the systems that keep a busy real estate operation moving
- Turn leadership's vision into repeatable processes the business can run on
- Identify gaps before they become problems and own the solution end to end
- Keep records, agreements, and files compliant, organized, and audit-ready
People and Team Leadership
- Lead, develop, and hold the support staff accountable to clear standards
- Own payroll, paid time off, staff onboarding and offboarding, and the annual review cycle
- Handle sensitive personnel and financial information with discretion and sound judgment
Financial Oversight
- Own the financial health of the Market Center, including budgeting, reporting, banking, and clean books
- Keep commissions, splits, caps, and records accurate and current at all times, so no revenue is missed
- Deliver trusted reporting that leadership relies on without rebuilding it
- Do the bookkeeping yourself or oversee it, whichever fits your strengths
Business and Agent Support
- Partner with leadership on profitability, growth, and productivity
- Oversee billing, compliance handoffs, and vendor relationships
- Support agents on the operational and financial side of building their business
What Success Looks Like
- The business runs on systems, not on anyone's follow-up
- Records and finances are accurate, current, and audit-ready at all times
- The support staff is led well and held to a high bar
- Leadership can hand you the operation and never worry it is wrong or late
Who You Are
- An operations leader first, with real experience building and running systems
- Experienced in managing and developing people, with HR and payroll exposure
- Financially fluent and highly accurate, whether you do the books yourself or oversee them
- Proactive and dependable, with strong follow-through and ownership of outcomes
- Organized, calm under deadlines, discreet, and trustworthy
Requirements
- Three or more years in operations, office management, or a similar leadership role, ideally with both people leadership and financial responsibility
- Experience building or improving systems and processes
- Strong proficiency with financial, HR, and office technology
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Real estate or brokerage experience and familiarity with Keller Williams systems are a plus
- College degree preferred
