Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including but not limited to tractor-trailer, refrigerated trailer, flatbed, and tanker operations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer service while transporting freight to designated locations. This dedicated route is local and home every.
Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, 40’ and 53’ trailers.
- Safely load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Utilize manual transmission when necessary for specific driving conditions.
- Ensure the safe transport of USPS mail in 40’ and 53‘ trailers
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on delivery driver experience preferred.
- Familiarity with operating various types of trucks
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is required.
- Must have minimum 2 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and route driving logistics.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
