About the Role
Artisan Chef Manufacturing Co./ Buitoni Pasta USA, producing premium fresh pasta and sauces under the Buitoni USA brand, is seeking a Production Scheduler & Demand Planner to own the production scheduling and demand planning function at our facility. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, operations, and cross-functional coordination.
You'll be the critical link between sales forecasts, inventory targets, and the production floor—translating demand signals into executable production schedules that keep lines running efficiently and shelves stocked. If you love solving optimization problems, digging into data, and driving operational accountability, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
- Build and manage production schedules across multiple lines, balancing demand, capacity, labor, changeovers, and material availability
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts by collaborating with sales, commercialization, and operations teams
- Optimize scheduling to maximize OEE, minimize changeover downtime, and reduce waste while hitting service-level targets
- Manage inventory levels of finished goods to balance service, freshness (critical for fresh/perishable products), and working capital
- Analyze and report production performance data—schedule adherence, output metrics, forecast accuracy, capacity utilization—and turn it into actionable improvements
- Communicate proactively with plant leadership, procurement, logistics, and quality to resolve constraints and keep the plan on track
- Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, tools, and data accuracy
What You Bring
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in production scheduling, demand planning, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment (food strongly preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills— lookups, complex formulas, and comfort building models and analyses from scratch
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving ability—you can find the signal in the noise and translate it into decisions
- Excellent communication skills—able to coordinate across departments and hold the plan (and people) accountable
- A bias for action and comfort operating in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment
Preferred:
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365 F&O) or a comparable ERP/MRP system
- Familiarity with food manufacturing, perishable/short-shelf-life products, HACCP, or fresh supply chains
- Experience with scheduling optimization, capacity planning, or S&OP processes
- Working knowledge of BI/reporting tools
A four-year degree is not required—we care about your experience, analytical horsepower, and track record of getting results.
