Role Description & Responsibilities
This is a full-time on-site role for a Litigation Attorney at Alkhalidi & Brown, PLLC, located in Southfield, Michigan. Responsibilities include the following…
· Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from intake through resolution
· Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents
· Manage all aspects of pre-litigation claims, including negotiations with insurance carriers
· Take and defend depositions
· Attend court hearings, case evaluations, mediations, and settlements conferences
· Develop case strategies and prepare cases for trial
· Communicate regularly with clients, providers, and other support staff
· Negotiate strategically and aggressively with insurance carriers and their counsel
Skills & Qualifications
· Juris doctor (J.D) degree from accredited law school
· Active license and good standing with the state bar of Michigan
· 1+ years of litigation experience
· Strong understanding of the Michigan No-Fault Act with 1+ years of experience with first-party and third-party cases preferred
· Experience managing a high-volume caseload independently
· Strong litigation and negotiation skills
