Little Volunteer Child Care – Belltown is excited to open the doors to our beautiful, state-of-the-art child care center in the growing Belltown community! We are currently seeking compassionate, energetic, and dependable Toddler Classroom Educators to become part of our founding team.

Toddler Classroom Educators provide a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment where children can explore, discover, and develop confidence through play. Educators support toddlers' social-emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development while fostering independence and building strong partnerships with families.

What You'll Do

Provide attentive, nurturing care to toddlers throughout the day.

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences and activities.

Encourage independence by teaching self-help skills such as handwashing, feeding, cleaning up, and toileting readiness.

Foster children's language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development through play and daily routines.

Guide children's behavior using positive discipline, redirection, and encouragement.

Maintain a safe, clean, healthy, and organized classroom environment.

Supervise indoor and outdoor play while ensuring children's safety and well-being.

Accurately document daily activities and communicate with families through Brightwheel.

Follow all Tennessee Department of Human Services licensing regulations and center policies.

Collaborate with fellow educators and leadership to provide exceptional care and early learning experiences.
Requirements

Experience working with toddlers in a licensed child care setting (preferred but not required).

High School Diploma or GED required.
-
CDA, TECTA, or coursework in Early Childhood Education is preferred.

CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Ability to pass all required state background checks.
-
Must meet Tennessee Department of Human Services licensing requirements.
