Pest Control Technician – El Dorado County
Overview
We’re looking for a dependable, motivated Pest Control Technician to join our team serving El Dorado County and surrounding communities.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, solving problems, and helping customers protect their homes and businesses. As a Pest Control Technician, you’ll inspect properties, identify pest activity, perform appropriate treatments, and provide customers with practical recommendations for preventing future problems.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in doing quality work, communicates well with customers, and can work independently while representing our company professionally.
Responsibilities
- Inspect residential and commercial properties to identify pest activity, entry points, conducive conditions, and potential problem areas.
- Perform pest control treatments safely, accurately, and in accordance with product labels, company procedures, and applicable state laws and regulations.
- Identify common pests and determine the appropriate treatment and prevention methods.
- Apply Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices to provide effective, responsible, and long-term pest solutions.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other pest control equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate service records, including treatments performed, products used, observations, and customer recommendations.
- Safely operate and maintain a company service vehicle and pest control equipment.
- Communicate clearly with customers about pest activity, treatments, expectations, and preventative measures.
- Recommend practical steps customers can take to reduce pest activity around their property.
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable state and local pest control regulations.
- Provide dependable, professional service and build positive relationships with customers.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily service route efficiently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable using ladders, hand tools, power tools, and pest control equipment.
- Ability to safely handle and apply pest control products according to label requirements and regulations.
- Knowledge of pest identification, pest biology, and treatment methods is preferred.
- Previous experience in pest control, landscaping, construction, agriculture, route service, or another outdoor trade is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, bending, climbing ladders, carrying equipment, and working around structures and landscapes.
- Willingness to learn and follow company procedures, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
