Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas following established standards.
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and industry best practices.
- Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces.
- Manage heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large supplies safely and efficiently.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness of linen supplies, replenish amenities, and restock cleaning carts regularly.
- Document completed tasks accurately and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with a strong understanding of janitorial practices.
- Skilled in handling chemical agents safely while performing industrial cleaning tasks.
- Knowledgeable about hotel housekeeping management systems and procedures.
- Excellent manual handling abilities for heavy lifting and moving equipment or furniture.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff.
- Ability to interpret safety data sheets (SDS) for proper chemical usage.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cleaning tasks efficiently.
