Position Summary:
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to the restaurant’s standards for quality, consistency, and food safety. This role supports efficient kitchen operations by maintaining a clean workstation, following proper food handling procedures, and working cooperatively with the kitchen team to ensure timely service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Set up and stock assigned station with necessary ingredients and supplies before service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout the shift.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper temperature control and food storage procedures.
- Label and rotate food products using FIFO (first-in, first-out) practices.
- Communicate with kitchen staff and managers to ensure efficient service and ticket flow.
- Monitor product quality and report any issues with ingredients or equipment.
- Assist with prep work, including chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and preparing sauces or other components.
- Properly store food items and clean equipment at the end of the shift.
- Assist with periodic deep cleaning and general kitchen maintenance as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices.
- Ability to follow recipes and portion standards.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Familiarity with grill, fryer, sauté, or prep stations.
- Knowledge of local health department regulations.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
