Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including wine, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring proper presentation and guest satisfaction
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately while handling cash safely and responsibly
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery for a seamless dining experience
- Assist with opening or closing duties as needed, including inventory checks and setup or breakdown of service stations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking efficiently
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions and handling cash accurately
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service standards
- Culinary experience or food industry background preferred; food handling certifications are a plus
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and sales revenue
