DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assumes responsibility for ensuring and performing efficient, effective, processing of liens. Verifies completed documentation including title application, loan agreement, fees, and sales tax for the transfer of ownership and/or lienholder and submit to the motor vehicle office of the borrower(s) residence.
- Ensures that lien interest for titled collateral is perfected within regulatory guidelines.
- Provides written notification to originating staff member of itemized corrections required before submission.
- Assists and responds to inquiries by staff or members regarding the requirements and preparation of documents for both paper and electronic perfection of a lien.

Monitors and promptly responds to requests for assistance with problem resolution or research specific to title issues.
- Researches and maintains current reports for missing and outstanding titles continuously tracking until receipt of the perfected title within the core system.

Responsible for receiving paper titles and acceptance notifications within the electronic title system where applicable.

Maintains file information by verifying VIN that was entered into the core system and ensuring all title documents are scanned and filed properly.
- Release titles for paid in full loans in a timely manner.

Provide Satisfaction of Lien as necessary.

Assists the Collections department as necessary with repossessed vehicle titles.

Keeps management informed of area activities and any significant problems.

Maintains current knowledge of DMV rules and regulations.

Performs loan audits as needed
