Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal Janitor will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, including floor care, industrial cleaning, and general maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to ensure cleanliness.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to maintain high standards of appearance.
- Carry out custodial duties in commercial and industrial settings, ensuring all areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, replenishing supplies as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery.
Experience
- Previous experience in custodial or facilities maintenance roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of floor care methods and products is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
