Job Title: School Bus Driver (Electric)
Reports To: Chief Operations Officer / School Principal
Job Summary:
The School Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, field trips, and other school-related activities. This position requires maintaining a safe, orderly environment on the bus while adhering to all traffic laws, school policies, and safety regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a school bus along assigned routes and schedules
- Pick up and drop off students at designated stops in a timely manner
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers at all times
- Maintain order and discipline among students while on the bus
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus
- Report mechanical issues, accidents, or delays promptly
- Follow all federal, state, and local traffic laws and school transportation policies
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus when necessary, including students with special needs
- Keep accurate records of routes, student attendance, and incidents
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation officials
- Maintain cleanliness of the bus interior
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and physical examination
- Previous experience driving a bus or large vehicle preferred
- Knowledge of local streets and traffic patterns

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
