Job Overview
The Floater (Dock & Operations Support) position is primarily responsible for supporting dock, and cooler operations to ensure efficient product flow, inventory accuracy, and daily execution, while also providing support across packing department as needed to maintain operational continuity for second shift.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with loading and unloading trailers accurately and efficiently
- Support organization and control of cooler inventory and maintain proper inventory tracking and documentation
- Coordinate and assist with inbound and outbound shipments to ensure smooth daily operations
- Communicate with plant team regarding product availability, scheduling, and operational needs
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe dock, yard, and cooler areas
- Support egg packing operations including packaging eggs into cartons, flats, and boxes
- Conduct quality control checks and remove cracked or non-compliant eggs
- Ensure proper labeling and accurate date stamping of products
- Maintain cleanliness and follow all food safety protocols within production areas
- Assist with automation processes and general production needs as required
- Follow all biosecurity protocols, including no contact with outside poultry or backyard flocks
- Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adapting to changing operational needs
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members across departments
- Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in warehouse, dock, logistics, or food production environments
- Familiarity with inventory tracking and material handling processes
Education And Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a fast-paced production or warehouse environment preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs. regularly
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8–12-hour shifts)
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
- Ability to work in varying temperatures (cooler, warehouse, and production areas)
- Ability to safely perform manual handling tasks and operate equipment as needed

Pay: $41,600.00 - $45,760.00 per year
