Purpose of Job
The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support for the Knox County Housing Rehabilitation (KCHR) Program.
Essential Functions
The Grants Program Assistant is responsible for the following essential functions:

Answer phones calls and reply to emails from community members seeking information about the program.

Assist community members with completing the KCHR application, including uploading eligibility documentation.

Review applications to ensure all required information is provided.

Schedule meetings between KCHR Program staff and community members.

Assist with the prioritization of applications in adherence with the KCHR policies and procedures.

Provide applicants with referrals to other services.

Perform other administrative duties in support of the program.
Additional Job Functions
-
Respond to and report immediately if called upon by local, regional or central office supervisors, as part of a coordinated emergency response by the Knox County Mayor’s Office.

Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Training & Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities that may be considered for employment into the position.
