At Burleson Animal Emergency Hospital, our CSRs are more than receptionists — they are the heart of the client experience. From comforting worried pet parents to helping coordinate lifesaving care, our front desk team plays a critical role in every patient visit.
As a CSR, you’ll be the friendly face and calming voice that guides clients through emergency situations with empathy and professionalism. Responsibilities include:

Welcoming clients and patients with warmth and compassion

Answering phones and assisting clients with confidence and care

Triaging incoming emergency cases and communicating with the medical team

Managing appointments, patient records, and medical documentation
-
Processing payments, financing options, and pet insurance claims
-
Maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting reception area
-
Supporting doctors and technicians to ensure smooth patient flow

Creating a positive experience during both routine and emotional visits

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous customer service and/or front office experience preferred

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure emergency environment

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Basic computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn veterinary software systems

Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and stay organized during busy shifts
-
Flexible scheduling availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and shift coverage as needed

Experience in veterinary medicine, animal care, or medical reception preferred but not required

Experience handling multi-line phone systems and client scheduling
-
Familiarity with payment processing, financing options, and insurance claims
-
Ability to confidently communicate with clients during emotional or stressful situations

Knowledge of veterinary terminology or willingness to learn quickly
