Automotive Parts Inventory Specialist / Team Leader
Payless4Parts is looking for an experienced and highly organized Automotive Parts Inventory Specialist to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of automotive parts experience and a strong working knowledge of automotive components, engines, transmissions, and inventory management.
This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping operations organized and efficient, can work independently while leading a team, and understands the importance of accuracy when handling automotive inventory. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, organizing, tagging, and maintaining parts inventory while working closely with other members of the team to keep daily operations running smoothly.
Experience with Checkmate software and printing inventory tags is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate automotive parts inventory on a daily basis.
- Identify, organize, and properly categorize automotive parts, engines, and transmissions.
- Use Checkmate inventory software to enter, update, track, and maintain inventory records.
- Print and apply inventory tags accurately to ensure all parts are properly identified and tracked.
- Inspect incoming inventory for accuracy, condition, and proper identification.
- Maintain an organized inventory area so parts can be located quickly and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with keeping records current and accurate.
- Work efficiently to process, organize, and prepare parts for inventory and sale.
- Lead by example and help direct team members with daily inventory responsibilities.
- Work closely with coworkers and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and accurate inventory management.
- Assist with resolving inventory discrepancies and correcting errors when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow company procedures for handling, storing, tagging, and documenting automotive parts.
- Prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining a high level of accuracy and productivity.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive parts, salvage, dealership, or related automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and components.
- Solid understanding of engines and transmissions, including the ability to identify major components and applications.
- Previous experience with Checkmate inventory software is required.
- Ability to create and print inventory tags using Checkmate.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable taking a leadership role and helping guide other team members.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive team environment.
