We are seeking an experienced and reliable Lead Driver to join our team in Douglas, GA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in garbage truck driving and possess excellent leadership skills to oversee daily operations and guide a team of drivers.
- Operate garbage trucks safely and efficiently following all company and regulatory guidelines.
- Lead and supervise a team of drivers to ensure timely and effective waste collection services.
- Coordinate daily routes and schedules to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and maintenance standards.
- Provide training, support, and mentorship to team members.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, management, and customers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Proven experience driving garbage trucks or similar heavy vehicles.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
- Excellent knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical demands of the job.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
