Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance on products related to lawn care, horticulture, floral design, and landscape maintenance
- Assist customers with product selection, answer questions about gardening techniques, and recommend solutions tailored to their needs
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems for efficient cash handling and checkout processes
- Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure shelves are stocked with high-quality products
- Process transactions accurately, including cash handling and retail math calculations
- Support inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and inventory counts
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving issues professionally
Skills
- Strong communication skills to engage with diverse customers effectively
- Knowledge of lawn care, gardening, landscape maintenance, horticulture, and floral design is highly desirable
- Experience with POS systems and cashiering procedures
- Multilingual abilities are a plus for serving a diverse customer base
- Excellent organizational skills to manage stock levels and maintain attractive displays
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment while multitasking seamlessly
- Familiarity with retail math for pricing, discounts, and sales transactions
