Little Smile Co. Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics is a fast paced and growing dental office that caters exclusively to kids in a fun, upbeat, and happy work environment like no other dental office! We are searching for highly motivated pediatric dental assistants to join our team! Must be willing to travel to both Cleveland and Clarksdale offices.
Must have EXCEPTIONAL customer service skills, love working with children, be highly dependable, and willing to learn. Consistent attendance, punctuality, and reliability are also a must.

Overall responsibilities will consist of working chair side with doctor and staff, taking xrays, sterilization, coronal polishing, HIPAA and OSHA compliance. Dental experience/ knowledge recommended.
As a dental assistant on our team, you are expected daily to:
- Provide outstanding customer service for the patient and excellent chair side manner.
- Assist the doctor with all dental procedures
- Take radiographs of patients using standard dental radiographic equipment
- Perform efficient and accurate procedures to help maintain doctors’ schedule, patient flow, and minimize patient wait time
- Be present, engaged, and ready to work
- Help clean the office and treatment rooms
- Review patient chart prior to doctor arrival and log appropriate patient data during exam and treatment
- Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance
- Follow organizations safety policies and procedures
- Have knowledge and understanding of dental terminology sufficient to perform job successfully
- Verify patient health history (basic health review, medications) and document appropriately in patient’s chart
- Assist with other office duties as requested or needed
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D.
Experience: Previous experience as a dental assistant required
Licenses/Certifications: Current CPR Certification; Radiology permit required
Responsibilities:
- Utilizes standard precautions during all dental encounters where applicable
- Provides chair-side assistance by maintaining clear field of operation, passing instruments, suctioning, etc. as needed
- Coronal polishing and reviewing oral hygiene instructions with patients
- Assists in performing of intra-oral and extra-oral x-rays
- Takes and mounts x-ray films
