JOB SUMMARY
The Sr Operations Product Manager owns the total product roadmap in support of the PODS Operations organization and its short-, mid-, and long-term initiatives. The roadmap will include process, resource, AI and machine learning initiatives directly in support of the COO, VP of Operations Planning, Optimization, and AI, and Director of Operations Technology. This product roadmap owner will lead a small team that owns the existing capabilities and roadmap as well as emerging and future capabilities. The Operations organization is looking to transform disparate manual processes and systems into an integrated, AI-enabled and automated series of platforms and capabilities over the 1-3 year horizon; this leader will have a clear understanding of prioritization and the ability to define measurable short-term wins against long-term goals.
This leader will capture the overall Operations business needs, ensure adequate prioritization across both Operations and the PODS enterprise, be able to clearly articulate updates and roadblocks to senior leadership, and have a transformative view of how all the requirements and capabilities should fit into the Operations and total-PODS ecosystem. Success in this role involves translating complex and at-times ambiguous business needs into clear, actionable requirements and maintaining a customer-first mindset while supporting transitions into new capabilities and ensuring adoption. The ideal candidate is an experienced product leader with a customer-first mentality, deep analytical judgment, technical fluency, and the ability to distill complex Operations, ML, and AI concepts for business and technical audiences. This role is a hands-on leader role; while a strong leader is needed, that leader will be a key contributor via both individual and team actions.

- Support the build of business cases and quantify ROI for planning, optimization, and Ops AI initiatives, prioritizing investments that deliver measurable service, cost, productivity, and asset-efficiency gains. Develop organizational business case analysis capabilities through experience and practice.
- Develop prioritization frameworks that are clear, quantifiable, and balance internal and external customer impact, business value, complexity, stakeholder needs and technical requirements and cost against the overall Operations strategy.
- Provide direct support to the COO and VP of Ops Planning, Optimization and AI as needed to update the Board, senior leadership, and the PODS enterprise on product initiatives.
- Lead the creation of documentation, training and transition plans, workflows, support materials, and other products as needed to enable roadmaps and increase the acceptance of new tools, processes, and capabilities.
