Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in CNC machining processes, with the ability to work with various materials and precision measuring instruments. Consideration for higher pay scales for candidates with setup experience with horizontal mills and vertical milling. These roles are critical in ensuring the production of high-quality components that meet strict specifications and tolerances.
Shift Hours
- Monday - Thursday (10 hour shifts). Overtime, as needed, on Friday.
- 1st Shift - 6:00a - 4:30p
- 2nd Shift - 4:30p - 3:00a
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC mills and lathe machines to produce precision parts.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining specifications.
- Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments during the machining process.
- Maintain tooling and equipment in optimal working condition, including routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement lean manufacturing practices and improve production efficiency.
Requirements
- Must be a team player
- Production experience required with a strong discipline in measuring and documentation of machined parts.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with a strong understanding of machining processes.
- Solid mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in manufacturing environments.
- Ability to read and interpret blue-prints drawings.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work consistently.
