We are seeking energetic and compassionate teacher for our young learners aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Each classroom is staffed with a lead teacher and assistant teacher who work together to create a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment. Teacher Key Responsibilities includes:
- Construct lesson plan using Goddard's inquiry based Wonder of Learning curriculum, while utilizing additional resources to include a variety of enrichment programs including but not limited to: yoga, sign language, and music & movement.
- Advance children’s physical and intellectual competence through quality teacher-created lesson planning that utilizes gathered assessment data.
- Support each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance.
- Establish positive and effective family relations through professional communication.
- Ensure an effective program, which is responsive to children’s needs.
- Work as a team with all staff and admin.
- Uphold Goddard Quality Assurance Health & Safety standards; establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment.
Qualifications:
- US work authorization (Required)
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Prior early childhood teacher experience; experiences working with desired aged group. (Infant, Toddler, Preschool and/or Pre-K) (Required)
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- CDA, a Bachelors or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or be working towards completing their degree or CDA certification.
- Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements.
- Strong knowledge of child development and early learning best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have a genuine love for teaching and have a desire to impact the life of each child they may work with. We are seeking high energy, responsible educators to build relationships with our families, teach our children, and provide a loving nurturing environment in which children can grow with our program.

- An active Merit account - Washington's Professional Development & Workforce Registry
- A Portable Background Check (through Merit)
- The following required prerequisite: Negative Tb Test, CPR/First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens Training, WA State Food Handlers, and proof of MMR immunization.
