American Traveler is hiring an EEG Technologist with 2+ years experience and ABRET, BLS, and R.EEGT certifications for a short-term acute care hospital setting.

Short-term acute care hospital setting in the EEG department
-
3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
-
Cases include Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, sEEG, Neurotelemetry, Ictal SPECT, routine EEG, trauma, and critical care patients
-
1-2 call shifts required every 6 weeks
-
No weekend requirement
-
Floating between affiliated hospital campuses may be required, including pediatric population
-
First week or two of training may require 5x8 hour day shifts
-
Cerner charting system used
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an EEG Technologist
-
ABRET, BLS, and R.EEGT certification required
-
License required if applicable
-
Experience with collodion/glue EEG hook-up required
-
Experience with adult and pediatric patient populations
-
Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
-
CLTM certification preferred
-
2 supervisor references required

Responsibilities include EEG electrode placement, long-term/video monitoring, and portable recording

Check, operate, and calibrate EEG equipment in accordance with standard procedures
-
Royal blue scrub color required
-
First-time travelers will be considered if all other requirements are met

Must work 2 of 3 major holidays

One pre-approved time-off request allowed per contract

Local candidates are accepted

Prior IU Health perm or PRN employees must be separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
