Job Overview
Unity of Central Oregon is seeking a warm and loving Nursery Care Provider to care for our littlest members during Sunday services. In this cherished role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment where young children feel seen, valued, and free to explore. Your presence allows parents to attend service with peace of mind, knowing their children are held in loving care. This is more than childcare — it is a ministry of love, and an opportunity to nurture the Divine spark in every child while serving a spiritual community grounded in kindness, acceptance, and joy.
Duties
- Provide attentive, loving supervision of infants, toddlers, and young children during Sunday service hours
- Engage children in age-appropriate play, stories, songs, and activities that support social, emotional, and creative development
- Ensure the safety and well-being of every child at all times through vigilant supervision and adherence to safety protocols
- Assist with diapering, snacks, and other daily care routines with gentleness and respect
- Welcome families warmly at drop-off and share a brief, caring update at pick-up
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting nursery space
- Follow mandated reporting laws by promptly reporting any concerns related to child abuse or neglect
- Support an atmosphere of unconditional love, where every child and family feels they belong
Qualifications
- A warm, patient, and dependable spirit, with genuine delight in the presence of young children
- Prior experience with infants and toddlers in childcare, preschool, nursery, or nannying settings is preferred
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is preferred; we are glad to support certification for the right candidate
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with children, parents, and team members
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws and child supervision best practices
- Background check required

- Reliable Sunday morning availability, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Schedule: Sundays, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
