Overview
Stacy K. Takekawa, Attorney at Law, a Limited Liability Law Company, is seeking a reliable, organized, and professional Part-Time Legal Assistant to support our office and assist with client communications, scheduling, and general administrative work.
This is an in-office position for approximately 10–15 hours per week. The anticipated schedule will be established based on the firm’s needs and the selected candidate’s availability. The office is located in Kaneohe, Hawaii and parking is provided.
Duties
- Answer incoming telephone calls professionally, take accurate messages, and direct calls appropriately.
- Schedule and confirm client appointments, meetings, and other calendar events.
- Communicate professionally by email and telephone with potential clients, current clients, attorneys, and other third parties.
- Assist with opening, organizing, maintaining, and closing physical and electronic files.
- Perform copying, scanning, printing, filing, and other document-management tasks.
- Draft routine correspondence, cover letters, and transmittal communications to clients and others.
- Prepare documents and correspondence for attorney review, signature, mailing, or electronic delivery.
- Maintain the confidentiality of client information and firm matters.
- Assist with general office organization and other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and careful attention to detail.
- Professional, courteous, and clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, follow instructions, and meet deadlines.
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
- Dependability, punctuality, and a professional demeanor.
- Proficiency with email, calendars, word-processing software, scanners, copiers, and general office technology.
- Ability to work independently, while also communicating effectively with the attorney and other members of the office.
- Prior experience in a law office, professional office, or client-service setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Clio, Microsoft 365, and Adobe Acrobat is preferred but not required.
Position Details
- Employment Status: Part-time
- Hours: Approximately 10 - 15 hours per week

- Schedule: Flexible, based on selected candidate's availability
- Compensation: $18 to $25 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Compensation within this range is negotiable.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
