In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment to include electrical, pipe fitting, electric motors, pumps, air compressors, cooling towers, chillers, bead mills, steam boilers, dust collectors, generators, overhead hoists, hand and power tools, and forklifts.
- Document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule upcoming tasks.
- Repair or replace components involving welding and fabrication (if applicable).
- Operate field service equipment including forklifts safely.
- Schedule and manage plant projects, outside contractors, and vendors.
- Order plant supplies.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards by following proper procedures during maintenance activities and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service within the internal team by communicating effectively about equipment status and repair timelines.
Qualifications
- Experience working with industrial equipment repair in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Strong analysis skills combined with excellent problem-solving abilities to diagnose issues quickly and accurately.
- Prior welding experience.
- Experience driving a forklift.
- Ability to work safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively document work activities and collaborate with team members.
- Must be physically capable of performing maintenance duties.
- Computer skills with Word and Excel.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Working hours are Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm (30 min lunch). Friday 7:00am-11:00 am. On-call and overtime if needed.
