SCI-FIT (Spinal Cord Injury Functional Integrated Therapy) is a rehabilitation center located in Sacramento, CA. We specialize in providing non-traditional activity-based therapy for those who have suffered debilitating spinal cord injuries and other neurological disorders. All our sessions are one-on-one with a client. We maximize the potential of each client by utilizing strategic exercises and providing the proper stimulation for an optimal functional outcome. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for working with patients to develop and implement rehabilitation plans, using activity-based therapy to help them achieve their maximum potential. Will be utilizing several specialized pieces of equipment such as but not limited to, lifts, body weight support treadmill systems, and electrical stimulation. The Physical Therapist will also be responsible for providing patient care and working with home care teams as needed. Abundant opportunities to grow within the company. Essential Responsibilities:
Assessment:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients with neurological conditions to understand their physical abilities, limitations, and specific needs.
- Regularly assess and reassess patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
Treatment:
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on the assessment findings, considering the patient's goals, medical history, and the nature of their neurological condition.
- Administer physical therapy interventions aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and other functional abilities.
- Use a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities, such as exercise programs, gait training, balance exercises, and activities to enhance motor skills.
- Recommend and teach the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices that can enhance independence and safety.
Patient Education:
- Educate patients and their families about the nature of the neurological condition, the expected course of rehabilitation, and strategies for managing symptoms and preventing complications.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and progress to facilitate communication within the healthcare team and for insurance and legal purposes.
Qualifications
- Degree and CA Physical Therapy License or PTLA Status.
- Experience working with individuals with spinal cord injuries and other neurological disorders preferred but not necessary.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications in specialized areas related to physical therapy are a plus.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with a team of healthcare providers.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
