Position Summary:
Maintains and repairs property of municipality by performing the following duties.
Disaster/Emergency/Schedule/On Call/Rotating Shifts Expectations:
This position is considered an emergency/disaster position, which requires the employee be ready, willing, and able to report to work during emergencies and/or disasters of any kind, notwithstanding any other commitments the employee may have
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned dictated by operational necessity.
· Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from municipal administrator
· Cuts grass and trims weeds on city property and parks
· Digs flower beds and plants flowers
· Constructs decorative flower garden from wood
· Cleans building, washes windows, and empty trash cans
· Paints interior and exterior walls and trim
· Removes and replaces damaged street signs
· Loads fallen tree limbs and roadside trash onto truck, and delivers refuse to landfill.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Knowledge of general maintenance tasks and procedures
· Knowledge of general maintenance and installation and proper equipment
· Ability to perform heavy manual labor
· Ability to follow oral and written instructions
· Skill in operation and maintenance of equipment and tools related to the position
Education and Experience:
· Experience in related manual labor
· High school diploma or GED equivalency desirable, but not required
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Florida Driver License or the ability to acquire one within 60 days from date of hire.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory duties

· While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles; outdoors weather conditions and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is very loud.
