Duties
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support individuals with mobility needs using manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to ensure health stability
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols under supervision or as trained
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary
- Engage residents in social activities, companionship, and behavioral management to promote mental well-being
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and laundry
- Document care activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, geriatrics, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications like medication administration or behavior management are a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks confidently
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate attitude towards residents’ <PERSON> needs
- Experience working with EMR systems for accurate documentation
- Valid driver’s license for driving responsibilities related to the role (if applicable)
