Join our Legacy
Reporting to maintenance supervisor/manager, the maintenance technician (seamer mechanic) sets up, operates, and troubleshoot our seamer machines. Prepares appropriate reports, work orders, support preventive maintenance and is proficient at welding and fabricating.
Your Contribution to Excellence
- Responsible for operation, maintenance, and repair of all seamer machines.
- Communicate with Quality Control and set up machine and adjust it as necessary.
- Visual check of cans1.
- Trouble shoot seam adjustments and other related problems.
- Make code changes and verify when necessary.
- Keep record of seam adjustments and repairs in Dynamics and seamer log.
- Fill out general reports.
- Clear jams and adjust machine to correct malfunction.
- Perform scheduled PMs.
- Monitor all other related equipment such as fillers, spiral elevators, conveyors, etc.
- Notify supervisor of any equipment malfunction.
- Maintain work area in clean, neat, and orderly condition.
- Meet all productivity and efficiency standards as outlined by management.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations, including active participation in the prompt identification and communication of safety hazards.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices1.
- Must be available to work overtime as needed, with or without advance notice.
- Must be able to work any shift and weekends as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
What you Bring to the Table
- Maintenance mechanic background, with a minimum of 18 months experience as a seamer mechanic.
- Ability to apply common sense.
- Welding and fabrication background is preferred.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions accurately.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to hot and cold weather conditions, and to wet/ and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, employee is exposed to a normal office environment.
Pay: $41.38 - $44.82 per hour
