Nurse III
The North Mississippi State Hospital is searching for a Nurse III for the Tupelo, Mississippi location in Lee County, Night Shift plus 15% Shift Differential and Type, Duty and Location (TDL) pay {25% added to base pay}. This is a full-time Position with Benefits. The Nurse III will be responsible for the identification and treatment of human responses to actual or potential health problems. The incumbent will support the mission of NMSH to provide the highest quality acute psychiatric care for Northeast Mississippi adults in the process of recovery.
Essential Functions:
This is professional work involving the treatment of human responses to actual health problems. The work involves such services as case findings, health teaching, health counseling, referring, and providing care supportive to or restorative of life and well-being. Incumbents’ work is overseen by an administrative superior.
- Administers medication and medical treatments following standard nursing procedures
- Monitors physical conditions of patients/clients.
- Maintains effective communication with patients, families, and members of the health care staff.
- Provides documentation, prepares reports, and maintains patient records.
- Salary: $55,741.31 Annually plus Shift Differential (15% - $8,361.20) and Type, Duty, Location (TDL - 25% - $13,935.33) pay added to base salary for a salary of approximately $78,037.84.
- 8 Hour Shifts
- Prefer candidate willing to work 11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. shift
Experience/Education Requirements:
Education:
A Master's, Bachelor's, or Associate Degree from an accredited college or university in nursing;
AND
Experience:
Two (2) plus years of experience in nursing as a Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner, of which at least one (1) year must be in the area of supervision and licensure as required below.
Certification/Licensure Requirements:
A valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Mississippi.
Documentation Required:
Applicant must attach a valid copy of his/her license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Mississippi.
