Position Responsibilities and Duties
1. [Governance/program] Maintain subject matter expertise in laws and regulations, and supervisory expectations applicable to the Bank and the Branch, including working knowledge of AML/Sanctions laws.
2. [Policy/Procedures/Manual] Support the implementations of any new or revised compliance requirements by assisting drafting of policies and procedures.
3. [314a] Conduct 314a searches. Escalate any matches to the BSA Officer. Maintain desktop manual.
4. [Monthly Negative Alerts] Assist in conducting monthly (and ad hoc as necessary) negative news searches and create reports. Communicate any risk rating adjustments with stakeholders. Maintain desktop manual.
5. [Sanctions] Review and approve sanctions screening alerts.
6. [Monitoring] Conduct monthly monitoring and reporting of vender database. Manage Compliance owned vendors and support periodic vendor risk assessments and other tasks as needed.
7. [Monitoring] Assisting compliance monitoring activities with applicable stakeholders in accordance with the Corporate Compliance Program
8. [MIS] Assist Corp Compliance Officer to prepare various management reporting, including biweekly Branch management, bi-monthly Head Office, and quarterly BOC, USRC and Legal, Compliance & HR Subcommittee, as well as other quarterly cross-group meetings as needed
9. [Exam] Assist in preparing materials requested by the FDL. Assist in executing corrective action plans in response to examination findings by regulators and auditors.
10. [Assistance] Assist the CCO in the budgeting/annual compliance plan process.
11. [Assistance] Assist in other matters as requested
Position Requirements
1. 3-5 years of experiences in financial crime and/or corporate compliance 2. ACAMS or equivalent designation/certification is a plus.
2. Be a problem-solver and work independently and corroboratively within a small team.
3. Strong understanding of corporate compliance policies, industry-specific regulations, and government, regulations, laws, and compliance standards.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook.
5. Bachelor’s degree or above

Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000
