Midas Hospitality is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and guest-focused Night Auditor to join our Front Office team. This overnight position plays a critical role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences while accurately completing daily financial audits, balancing hotel transactions, and preparing the property for the next business day.
The ideal candidate enjoys working independently, has strong attention to detail, and can provide professional guest service while managing overnight hotel operations.
What You Will Be Doing:
As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for delivering excellent guest service during overnight hours while completing the hotel’s nightly audit and financial reconciliation processes.
Responsibilities include:

Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude while completing efficient check-in and check-out procedures.

Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations according to hotel, brand, and company standards.

Maintain knowledge of room availability, rates, packages, promotions, and hotel services.

Utilize upselling techniques and hotel programs to maximize room revenue and enhance the guest experience.

Accurately collect payments, process credit card transactions, post charges, and follow all cash handling procedures.

Promote and enroll eligible guests into hotel loyalty and rewards programs.

Respond to guest questions regarding hotel amenities, local attractions, transportation, and services.

Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.

Complete the nightly audit process by balancing Front Office transactions, Food & Beverage transactions, guest accounts, and daily financial reports.

Reconcile cash, receipts, credit transactions, and miscellaneous reports to ensure accuracy and safeguard company assets.

Close out the business day in Front Office and Food & Beverage systems and generate required financial reports for hotel leadership.

Review Front Office logs, room status reports, and housekeeping information to prepare for the following day’s operations.

Maintain accurate records of guest communications, packages, messages, and overnight activity.

Ensure the Front Desk and lobby areas remain clean, organized, and professional.

Monitor hotel safety and security, understand emergency procedures, and assist during emergency situations when needed.

Communicate maintenance concerns, guest issues, and important updates to the appropriate hotel departments.

Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and standard operating procedures.

Complete additional projects and assignments as requested by hotel leadership.
What You Bring:

Previous hotel Front Desk, Night Audit, customer service, accounting, cashiering, or related experience preferred but not required.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial transactions and reports.

Basic math, computer, and data entry skills.

Ability to learn hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) and financial reporting systems.

Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight shifts.

Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling guest and financial information.

Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive use of hands throughout the workday. Candidates should be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Work is performed primarily indoors within a hotel environment and may include moderate noise levels and occasional movement throughout the property.

Minimum of 1 year of hotel Front Desk or Night Audit experience.

Previous experience working in a Hyatt-branded hotel strongly preferred.

Previous experience with Opera PMS and/or Opera Cloud strongly preferred.

Knowledge of Hyatt brand standards, World of Hyatt procedures, and guest service expectations preferred.

Previous experience completing night audit procedures, daily financial reconciliation, and end-of-day reporting.

Ability to accurately review and reconcile guest folios, room charges, credit card transactions, cash transactions, deposits, adjustments, and Food & Beverage postings.

Strong understanding of hotel check-in, check-out, reservations, billing, payment, and room assignment procedures.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct discrepancies before completing the nightly audit.

Basic accounting, mathematical, computer, and data-entry skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent guest service and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to professionally handle guest complaints and service recovery situations.

Ability to work independently during overnight hours while following Midas Hospitality, Hyatt, and property policies and procedures.

Ability to make appropriate operational decisions and escalate emergencies or significant guest concerns to management when necessary.

Ability to follow written management instructions, Front Office procedures, checklists, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Ability to complete and distribute accurate Night Audit reports, shift recaps, financial reports, and operational updates to hotel leadership.

Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, accountability, reliability, and attention to detail.

Must maintain confidentiality when handling guest information, payment information, financial records, and hotel operations.

Must be dependable and punctual, as the Night Auditor is responsible for maintaining Front Desk coverage and successfully closing the hotel's business day.

Must be able to work a flexible overnight schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.

1–2+ years of Night Audit experience in a full-service or select-service hotel environment.

Hyatt hotel experience.
-
Experience using Opera Cloud PMS.

Experience with World of Hyatt enrollment, member recognition, benefits, and service standards.

Experience with hotel accounting, credit card reconciliation, revenue reporting, and Food & Beverage reconciliation.

Previous experience working in a hotel managed by Midas Hospitality or another professional hotel management company is a plus.

Experience handling overnight guest service recovery, emergency situations, security concerns, and interdepartmental communication.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Hospitality, Business, Accounting, or related education is preferred but not required.
