Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and passionate After-School Program Director to lead our school age child care and youth engagement initiative. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaing a robust and compliant program plus organizing and overseeing Zhang Sah's dynamic and unique after-school opportunity that fosters learning, creativity, and social development. The ideal candidate will be aqn aspring education leader and bring their experience in youth development, coaching, child care or program administration. They have a passion for working with children of all backgrounds, and are commited to creating a safe and inclusive environment where every child can thrive and be successful.
Responsibilities
- Support enrollment efforts
- Implement engaging curriculum activities that promote academic growth, social skills, and personal development.
- Manage daily program operations, ensuring smooth transitions between activities and adherence to schedules.
- Supervise and manage staff, volunteers, and students to maintain a positive and safe environment for all participants.
- Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and families to support student needs and program outreach.
- Monitor program effectiveness through feedback and assessments, making improvements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, licensing requirements, and organizational policies.
- Maintain detailed records of attendance, incidents, and program activities for reporting purposes.
Skills
- Experience in early education, teaching or education administration is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and engage students effectively.
- Proven ability to organize curriculum activities and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders including students, parents, and community partners.
- Knowledge of working with students of various age groups and backgrounds in an educational setting.
- Familiarity with university experience or teaching environments enhances understanding of academic standards.
