We are a unique coffee roasting business with strong ties to the community and a vibrant cafe bar serving top quality espresso and coffee drinks. We are set in a warehouse style building and a very chill environment.
You will help run day to day operation of the coffee shop which includes store organization, customer assistance, coffee serving and barista responsibilities, and maintaining a clean and orderly working environment.
This position is the face of Cervantes Coffee to the customers, both the retail customers and the wholesale customers who visit our facility. This position requires 100% commitment to Professionalism and problem solving, accountability, and good attitude. Team work is very important.
- Ensure proper presentation and cleanliness of store and warehouse cleaning all windows, doors, shelves, floors and counters as necessary.
- Ensure all shelves are stocked with products and that they are displayed properly with adequate up to date pricing (coffee packages and other products).
- Provide critical support to manager and head barista when needed
- Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately with owners and manager in order to ensure effective store operations.
- Displays a "customer comes first" attitude at all times
- Open the store and responsible for closing when necessary.
- Serve all coffee drinks and food listed on the menu
- Maintain proper care, maintenance and cleanliness of all coffee brewing equipment including espresso machines, grinders, brewers, kettles, pots.
- Maintain cleanliness of store front and retail section ensuring proper placement and of all ingredients.
- Provide customer service around information of the other activities and services that the store provides such as rental of space, training, warehouse tours, and catering.
Preferably but not necessary experience as barista or restaurant server. Spanish speaking is a plus.
