We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and student-centered English Language Development (ELD) Teacher to join our team. This position supports multilingual learners whose first language is not English through high-quality language instruction, collaboration with educators, and implementation of best practices in language acquisition.
Position Summary
The ELD Teacher works closely with students, classroom teachers, administrators, and families to ensure English learners receive targeted instruction and support. This role combines direct teaching, instructional coaching, assessment, compliance responsibilities, and expertise in second-language acquisition to help scholars achieve academic and linguistic success.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Active Pennsylvania teaching certifications: ESL Program Specialist K–12 and Core content area or Elementary Education certification
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
- Commitment to educational equity and culturally responsive teaching practices
- Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver English Language Development (ELD) instruction aligned with students’ English language proficiency goals.
- Design and implement engaging lessons that strengthen listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate ELD strategies and supports across all content areas.
- Monitor student progress and use assessment data to inform instructional decisions.
- Administer required language proficiency assessments and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, conferences, department meetings, and school initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all school, local, state, and federal regulations related to English learner programs and services.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and language development goals.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that celebrates linguistic and cultural diversity.

Job Types: Contract, Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 per year
