Bilingual EHS Specialist & Safety Trainer
Location: Oak Creek, WI
Pay: $70,000 - $80,000
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Weekend overtime and occasional schedule changes may be required.
We’re looking for a bilingual safety professional who enjoys being visible on the plant floor, working directly with employees, and making safety training practical and easy to understand. This position supports two food-manufacturing facilities and combines employee training, compliance, audits, incident prevention, and hands-on safety support.
What You’ll Do
- Lead safety orientation and ongoing training in English and Spanish
- Maintain training, inspection, and compliance records for audits
- Support programs involving LOTO, PPE, hazard communication, confined spaces, bloodborne pathogens, and emergency response
- Conduct plant inspections, risk assessments, GEMBA audits, and machine-safety reviews
- Lead Safety Committee meetings and help improve facility-wide safety practices
- Support first-aid response, light-duty assignments, return-to-work efforts, and workers’ compensation prevention
- Translate safety materials and communicate policies to both English- and Spanish-speaking employees
- Partner with production and other departments when processes, equipment, or product lines change
- Review safety trends and recommend practical ways to reduce hazards and improve compliance
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, including the ability to translate written materials
- At least two years of safety-related work experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience delivering employee training or presenting information to groups
- Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and common manufacturing safety programs
- Strong organization, communication, and recordkeeping skills
- Ability to work independently and respond to urgent safety needs
- Current passport and ability to travel occasionally within the United States and Canada
Preferred Experience
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental studies, or occupational health and safety
- Three or more years of EHS experience
- Food-manufacturing, conveyor-safety, or machine-guarding experience
- GSP, ASP, or CRSP certification
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
