Duties
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods.
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all areas are organized and free of clutter.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, supporting the culinary team in meal assembly or ingredient handling.
- Support catering and banquet setups by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for use.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold safety standards and prevent cross-contamination.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely cleanup during busy service periods.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including proper disposal of waste and cleaning chemicals.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
- Knowledge of basic kitchen cleaning procedures, including sanitation standards for food handling.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency.
