Position Summary
The Regional MRO Sales Manager reports to the Director of Sales and/or Vice President of Aircraft Maintenance Operations and is responsible for selling maintenance, refurbishment, avionics, paint, and engine services across all Clay Lacy Aviation MRO locations, with an emphasis on the Van Nuys facility. This role manages relationships with MRO customers throughout the Southwest region while developing new business, defining maintenance work scopes, and closing sales for airframe, engine, avionics, interior maintenance, and upgrade projects. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of growing sales, an established book of business, and the ability to cultivate new customer relationships throughout the region.
Location: Southern California (Hybrid)
Compensation: $124,355.96 - $202, 078.43; Eligible for comprehensive Clay Lacy Aviation benefits.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sell all services offered at the Clay Lacy MRO Service Centers.
Initiate, develop and maintain a business and personal relationship with customers.
Develop a sales plan that ensures each customer in the assigned region is contacted every quarter.
Negotiate all sales agreements in a fair and equitable manner while maximizing profit potential for Clay Lacy Aviation.
Act as the customer's advocate while maintaining a balance between the customer and Clay Lacy Aviation.
Interface on behalf of Clay Lacy Aviation with professional organizations in the sales territory. Participate in industry events such as M&O’s, NBAA, PAMA, etc., as directed by the V.P. of Maintenance Operations.
Prepare and submit travel and expense reports as directed.
Maintain excellent lines of communication with all members of the Clay Lacy Sales Team and operational personnel at the various Clay Lacy facilities.
Accurately gather all appropriate technical information and submit such data in the form of a timely RFQ to the Quoting/Planning and Scheduling team. It is the obligation of the Regional Sales Manager to ensure all RFQ information is presented in an accurate, complete and timely manner.
Responsible for identifying, developing, implementing and monitoring processes to ensure comprehensive and accurate aircraft maintenance service requirements, specifications and design projects are aligned to meet customer and corporate objectives.
Responsible for increasing market share, penetration and predictability within the Maintenance Sales organization by creating deeper relationships with large corporate entities and solidifying stronger relationships with existing customer base.
Ensure sales volume meets and/or exceeds Clay Lacy Aviation’s targets.
Maintain a strong understanding of CLA’s customer needs, pricing, and delivery schedules, and ensure adherence to all quality standards, contractual obligations and regulatory compliance, as applicable.
Promote and reinforce positive working relationships with clients and industry peers to achieve best exposure in the market.
Share professional experience and knowledge regarding suppliers, products, competition and/or markets, with Clay Lacy team members to benefit company strategies and goals.
Understand and drive the CLA philosophy, value and vision in all behavior, practices and decisions.
Travel is required to meet the essential duties of the job.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Competencies and Skills
Position resides and works out of the southwest region (preferably in the southern California area).
Ability to travel on short notice, up to 75%.
Corporate Aviation experience required.

Travel Expectations
Ability to travel on short notice, up to 75%.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 5 years hands on maintenance or avionics experience is required.
A&P license or an FCC license is required.
A minimum of 5 years in an MRO sales position is required.
