Duties
- Perform comprehensive HVAC system change-outs, including removing old units and installing new equipment according to schematics and design specifications
- Conduct system inspections, troubleshoot issues, and ensure proper operation of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating systems
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to guide installations and repairs
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and plumbing tools to facilitate precise installation and maintenance tasks
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations, including handling ammonia refrigeration systems when applicable
- Coordinate with property maintenance teams and contractors to complete projects efficiently while minimizing disruptions
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including service reports, installation logs, and inspection records
Skills
- Strong construction background with experience in HVAC system change-outs and installations
- Proven service technician experience in HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems, appliance repair, or property maintenance
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans accurately
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, plumbing, welding, and equipment repair
- Field service expertise with a focus on HVAC/R troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
- Proficiency using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments
Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per day
