Chenal Country Club, located in west Little Rock, Arkansas, is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual for the position of Dining Room Manager. Host of the 2013 American Academy of Chefs Regional Dinner, Chenal Country Club is a 30 year-old, corporate-owned, private club with approximately 600 members. The Club's 100,000 square foot clubhouse includes a formal dining room, family dining room, Men's and Ladies' card rooms and lounges; private dining rooms; and a ballroom that hosts up to 450 members and guests for dinner or up to 800 for cocktails. Additionally, there is a golf snack bar open all year, and a pool snack bar open in season. Other facilities include six hard surface and two clay tennis courts; large swimming complex; a state-of-the-art fitness center, including an aerobic room, a golf simulator, and a massage therapy room.
The successful candidate will be part of a management team responsible for Dining Room/A La Carte operations, front of house staff scheduling, clubhouse housekeeping, internal marketing and coordination of special events and member parties at the Club. He or she will assist in training all service personnel, including temporary contract labor, and maintaining a database of tracking attendance and revenues.
Applicants must have at least two years of experience in food and beverage management as related to the FOH/Service Manager roles; the ability to interact with a discerning club membership; a solid understanding of Food & Beverage operations, including but not limited to, responsible alcohol service, proper food handling, FOH staffing, training programs, event coordination, and vendor relations; be creative and adept with decorations, printed materials, and marketing of club events. An understanding of Microsoft Excel, Publisher, and Word programs is preferred. The ideal candidate must also possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, a commitment to excellence, attention to detail, a caring attitude, and be passionate about providing a memorable experience to members and guests.
