The Tasting Room Associate is responsible for providing an exceptional guest experience for every customer that enters our tasting room. To this end, the position’s responsibilities are as follows:
- Ensures that all guests are greeted immediately upon entry to the tasting room and provided with experiences that will build brand loyalty.
- Performs informed wine tastings for interested customers, presenting wines and describing the background of Grace Estate. Executes all follow up wine, food and, merchandise sales.
- Communicates in a knowledgeable, professional and gracious manner to all guests in the tasting room.
- Maintains the physical setting of the tasting room to reinforce standards of the winery.
- Promotes the Grace Estate wine club resulting in club sales that establish long-term customer relationships.
- Accurately uses POS registers and other winery systems to transact sales and maintain tasting room inventory.
- Demonstrates personal accountability in following all company policies and procedures.
- Performs opening and closing procedures of the tasting room under direction of the manager.
- Ensures the cleanliness and aesthetics of the tasting room, restrooms, patio, and lawn areas.
- Maintains physical inventory of food and merchandise items, and restocks wine in the tasting room when needed.
The ideal candidate for this part-time position should be a self-starter with some relevant work experience in hospitality and/or customer service. Full training is included. Tasting Room Associates earn $14/h, plus tips. Must be able to lift 40 lbs and must be willing to work weekends, including Friday and Saturday nights.
