Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Médico Generalista Sala Emergencia to join our vibrant emergency care team. In this vital role, you will provide immediate, high-quality medical attention to patients in urgent and critical situations within the emergency room setting. Your expertise will ensure swift diagnosis, effective treatment, and compassionate patient care, all while collaborating seamlessly with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and physical examinations, to determine urgency and prioritize care.
- Utilize medical imaging and diagnostic radiology tools to support accurate diagnoses.
- Manage airway, breathing, and circulation issues, including airway management and ventilator support when necessary.
- Administer emergency interventions such as suturing, IV infusions, pain management, and basic life support techniques.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals across specialties to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Document all patient interactions accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations to maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure as a General Practitioner or equivalent.
- Post-residency experience in emergency medicine or critical care environments.
- Proficiency in EHR systems such as Neomed.
- Strong knowledge of medical imaging modalities including CT scans, radiology reports, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Familiarity with a broad range of specialties including anesthesiology, cardiology, pulmonology, dermatology, gastroenterology, oncology, orthopedics, pathology, psychiatry, reproductive endocrinology, and others relevant to emergency care.
- Demonstrated ability to perform clinical procedures such as suturing, wound care, gastric lavage, and neurocritical care interventions.
- Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate care during high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining clear communication and professionalism.
- Experience in hospital settings with inpatient and outpatient care environments; level I or II trauma center experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding for procedures, and basic physiology concepts essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
