Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be proficient in using hand tools and power tools. This role involves working on diverse construction projects, including residential and commercial builds, renovations, and restorations. The Journeyperson Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring high-quality craftsmanship while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair structures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Perform water damage restoration tasks as needed to restore affected areas.
- Fabricate custom woodwork and cabinetry according to project requirements.
- Install flooring materials, including hardwood, and laminate
- Execute plastering tasks to ensure smooth surfaces for painting or finishing.
- Conduct construction painting duties to enhance the aesthetic appeal of completed projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a carpenter with a portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to plumb structures accurately to ensure level installations.
- Understanding of building codes and regulations related to carpentry work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy materials.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.

Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 42 per week
