Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and efficient seating assistance as a host/hostess when needed
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage cash handling, process payments accurately, and operate POS systems including OpenTable for reservations management
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to sanitation protocols, proper food handling, and sanitation practices
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable reservation platform
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to multitask effectively with strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary experience or food preparation knowledge is a plus for understanding menu items and guest inquiries
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and order accuracy
- Experience with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn is valued highly
