Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Crude Oil Hauler to join our dynamic transportation team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers equipped for hauling crude oil, across designated routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, including tankers, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques or specialized equipment, in accordance with hazardous materials regulations.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems and plan optimal driving routes.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during transit.
- Follow all safety protocols related to hazardous materials handling, truck loading/unloading, and manual handling procedures to ensure personal safety and that of others.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including tractor-trailer operations with manual transmissions.
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, and hazardous materials regulations applicable to crude oil transportation.
- Skilled in route planning using GPS navigation systems for efficient delivery execution across routes
- Familiarity with dangerous goods transportation protocols and safety procedures for hazardous materials.
- Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits in line with DOT and FMCSA guidelines.
